"The ribbed cut Velvet Jacquard "The Great Rift" has a cracked pattern echoing the burned lands of the great African Rift. Its very tightly woven weft, like silk carpets from India, hastwo subtly contrasting bi-coloured yarns, to give even more depth to the pattern. In thickness, its weft of plain viscose confers a natural iridescence and a soft satin touch . For intensive use, the fabric will be ideal for upholstering your seats, Africa’s Rift Valley extends over almost six thousand kilometres of mountains and valleys, from the north to the south of the continent, crossing Kenya, Somalia and Tanzania, among other countries. It is dotted with geological wonders such as Mount Kenya and Mount Meru, as well as the famous Kilimanjaro. Most of the year this African pate is very dry and cracked, but it can also be very green in places, once the rainy season arrives."
