BALATA

Balata is extraordinary foliage on a bright cotton satin. Canna leaves, birds of paradise or anthurium are translated intodelicate drawings. The graceful veining are suggested with a singlehand-drawn line. Each plant is decorated with raindrops made of subtle dots. Shimmering colors, recreating using digital printing, come together with strong contrasts. Small touches of white bring light to this lushgarden, making its colors appear even darker. Oval-shaped leaves, slender stems seem to move in the breeze andon the soft satin of the fabric, painting a fascinating picture of the Balata Gardens.
