From the 16th to the 20th of January 2025, Maison & Objet is the setting for an exceptional collaboration between Casamance, a reference in the world of high-end textiles and wall coverings, and Uchronia, a design and architecture studio at the forefront of creativity. Together, they are unveiling a bold, immersive hotel, designed to make visitors imagine themselves in a 200 m² space entirely inspired by the theme of Surrealism.
Uchronia designed a conceptual hotel, composed of different rooms, with each zone offering an immersive, offbeat experience. To accentuate each space, Uchronia drew on the richness of Casamance's collections, highlighting sumptuous textures, innovative coverings and a carefully orchestrated color palette.
The Minaude fabric in the entrance reveals all its radiance with velvet and satin curtains, an interpaly of brilliance and mattness in a subtle reinterpretation of the 1930s. Alongside it, Brooks, a majestic giant flower, embodies a poetic and fantastic invitation, promising visitors an extraordinary experience.
In convivial areas such as the café and bar, the interplay of volumes invites us to reconsider our perception of space and balance. The fabric Cay reveals a rare visual richness here, embroidered with delicate threads and inviting us to plunge into a dreamlike plant world, transforming the curtains into veritable works of art.
The smoking lounge, meanwhile, features Piti fabric in a warm terra cotta hue. Its undulations recall the movement of waves, inviting you to take an intimate, contemplative break.
In the fitness room, XXL figures covered in Étreinte, bouclette wallcovering, frozen in athletic postures, bring the space to life, defying the laws of scale and realism. The walls are clad in Arcane, an intense purple, bringing a vibrant dynamic to this space dedicated to movement. Manade creates a natural link to the outside space thanks to its violet hue, which reflects Uchronia's distinctive aesthetic.
This collaboration testifies to a deep affinity between Uchronia and Casamance, two worlds united by their shared appreciation of textures and colours. Casamance fabrics, with their unrivalled refinement, bring a unique dimension to this project. This interior, designed by Uchronia and featuring the Casamance collections, is one of the highlights of the 2025 Maison & Objet show. Discover a space where “the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and every detail tells a story in the spirit of surrealism”, explains Julien Sebban, founder of the Uchronia agency.
