VOYAGE A KYOTO-SHI
The 2017 collection combines traditional Shibori dyeing with the candour of a linen and sequined cotton fabric, the harmony of raffia weaves of natural appearance, the sensuality of a metallic sheer reminiscent of a crochet work, the nobility of geometric laminations on velvets … Add some Japanese ideograms, a traditional engraving which inspired the great drawing “Danse des Cyprins”, and you are in another world. The tea ceremony, the Geisha’s dances … a collection with the airs of initiatory ballad through the old Kyoto, in which the traditional arts were moved in noble or precious stuffs. A collection of sheer, draperies and upholsteries with neutral and delicate tones, punctuated with bronze and Seychelles blue, for a wedding between tradition and modernity.
