In 1950, the links between architecture, design and sculpture were strong. The artists reinvented a means of expression : the Good Design movement. Inspired by organic shapes, lines became curves, the curves themselves amazing and almost abstract. The designer George Nelson adopted this style. Perfect shapes are found throughout the collection and are drawn with subtle contours. They find their place on the rich velvets, the embroidered voiles and on the jacquards with their metallic highlights. A collection with assertive, graphic, timeless designs.
